About the Meeting

The 2012 National Meeting takes place March 6-7, 2012 at the Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington, Virginia. The focus of the meeting is fidelity of implementation and building stronger partnerships. We’re inviting external presenters and SPDG personnel to present on these topics. After these presentations, participants will engage in discussions within smaller groups, parsed by region and other configurations.

Back by popular demand we’ll convene the 'Market Place our poster-like presentation sessions. For Market Place we'll host two 45 minute sessions, when 6-7 grantee personnel present on a tool, resource, practice or process successfully implemented that can be replicated by other state projects.  The majority of the presentations are aligned with the two meeting content strands – partnerships and implementation fidelity.

A goal of the conference planning committee is to provide time for both large group sessions and smaller-sized groups parsed by geographic region, population, roles, topical, initiative, etc. To that end several opportunities are planned for various sized groups to gather around topics using the World Café, 3-2-1, and group think discussion processes.

Pre-Meeting: Connect with Your Colleagues

We're planning a pre-meeting Group Meet Up to give participants an opportunity to connect with colleagues from other states and make dinner arrangements with one another. This Meet Up occurs Monday evening, March 5, 5:30-7:00pm at the conference hotel lounge the Connexion.
